​​​​This itinerary is a rural farmstay which serves as your base for exploring Lovorno and Dubrovnik by cycle, on a boat and on foot.

 

Accommodation is in small, family-run farmhouse.  

 

Visits to local wineries and olive oil producing businesses support community-based tourism.   

An optional visit to a craft co-operative in Dubrovnik is available.

Day 1   Arrive Dubrovnik | Lovorno

Arrive by 5:00pm. You will be transferred from the airport to your farmstay accommodation in Lovorno for the following 6 nights. The drive is about 40 minutes. Meet your tour guide and group, and enjoy a home-cooked dinner.

Glass of Red Wine

Day 2  Lovorno: Wine & Olive Oil tasting

Travel the wine route through Konavle, and learn all about wine, prosecco, and olive oil production, enjoying samples as well. Konavle is known for its unique microclimate and traditional winemaking practices, resulting in distinct local grape varieties and wines. Notable wines include the Malvasija Dubrovacka, a white wine, and the Merlot.

Cooking Class

Day 3   Lovorno: Beach & Cooking Lesson

Enjoy a free morning at the local beach, or relax by the pool. 

In the afternoon, join a hands-on cooking class with your hosts using fresh ingredients from the neighbors and the farm. Savour a delicious dinner afterward made in part by you and your group.

Day 4  Lovorno; Boat Cruise

Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Adriatic Sea on a full-day boat cruise between Molunat and Prevlaka. This scenic journey showcases stunning coastlines, charming villages, and crystal-clear waters. As you glide along, soak in the picturesque views of lush greenery and rocky cliffs that define this region. Experience the tranquility of the sea while enjoying the warmth of the sun on your skin. Stop to swim in a few spots before an afternoon at a secluded beach only accessible by small boats.

Day 5   Lovorno:  Day in Dubrovnik

Transfer to Dubrovnik for an orientation walking tour with your group leader, then enjoy free time to explore this picturesque walled city on the Adriatic Coast, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. Known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and striking city walls, Dubrovnik offers visitors a captivating blend of history and culture. Stroll through the picturesque Old Town, explore charming cobblestone streets, and enjoy breathtaking views from the fortress. 

Opt to Visit the Deša project, a non profit dedicated to empowering and employing women in the community.

Cycling in Nature

Day 6   Lovorno:  Cycle Tour

Enjoy a half-day cycling (or e-cycling) excursion along mostly flat roads with villages, vineyards and small houses dotting the countryside scenery. Stop to visit a 15th-century monastery, a hidden gem steeped in history and tranquility. This remarkable structure, with its stunning architecture and serene surroundings, invites visitors step back in time and explore the rich spiritual heritage of the region. Wander through the peaceful cloisters and admire the intricate details that tell the story of monastic life centuries ago. Call in on a local artist, and see local water mills used for producing flour.
