Day by day itinerary

Day 1 Casablanca - Rabat
Upon arrival in Casablanca, start a brief sightseeing tour of Casablanca, Morocco's largest metropolis. Highlights include the old French quarter of Habous and the Hassan II Grand Mosque considered among the largest in the world with a capacity of 25,000 worshipers. Continue along the coastline to Rabat.

Day 2 Rabat - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, take a short tour of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Enjoy a short walk at the Mohammed V Mausoleum. Mosaics rise from the marble floor to a ceiling of gold leaf and hand-carved cedar wood. The morning ends with a visit of the Kasbah of the Udayas in Rabat’s Old Town. On your way to Fes, explore the Berber ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, Morocco's first Arab conquerors settlement, and Meknes. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure in this Imperial city and continue to Fes for overnight.

Day 3 Fes
Today, enjoy an all-day city tour of the spiritual capital of Morocco, Fes. The first stop is the entrance of the biggest royal palace of Morocco, surrounded by high walls with intricate and elaborate decorated ornamentation. Continue the tour in the heart of the largest old souk in the world, unchanged for centuries. Its narrow alleys house hundreds of merchants and craftsmen selling a range of products such as dates, fish, spices, copper urns, carpets, and musical instruments. One of the most interesting sites in Fez is the leather souk with the oldest leather tannery in the world. In addition to the tannery, you will visit a clay workshop, the artisan quarters, and other souks.

Day 4 Fes - Erfoud - Sahara
Leaving Fes, drive through the Middle Atlas mountains into the South with a break in the quiet alpine town of Ifrane. Enjoy views of verdant cedar forests, volcanic mountains, wind-swept plains, spectacular gorges, and stony desert. as you travel along the marvelous oasis of the Ziz Valley before arriving in Erfoud, known as “the Gate to Sahara Desert”. Continue by 4WD to Merzouga, the heart of the desert, and surf the sandy sea on a powerful Land Rover. Dinner and overnight at the desert Camp.

Day 5 Sahara - Dades - Ouarzazate
Enjoy an early morning sunrise camel ride along the golden sand dunes in Merzouga. Return for breakfast before driving to Tinghir, a gorgeous, 24 mile oasis, which boasts one of the largest palm groves in the country. Enjoy walking at the famous Todra Gorges, a 1000' wall, carved deep into the High Atlas mountains. Leave Tinghir stopping at Kelaat M’Gouna, a large village famous for cultivating roses. Expect to find many fine, rose-infused products for sale there. Transfer to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” for dinner and overnight

Day 6 Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Enjoy the city tour of Ouarzazate, beginning with the Taourirt Kasbah that is considered one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in the country, and the Film Studios (optional visit) location for many famous desert landscapes. Continue to the spectacular fortress of Ait Ben Haddou, immortalized in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Leave Ait Ben Haddou crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the magnificent TizInTichka pass to Marrakech for overnight.

Day 8 Marrakech | Hammam
Morning at leisure to explore Marrakech independently. In the afternoon, experience a hammam - a traditional Moroccan Spa. Historically, the hammam was a public bathhouse for the locals. Today, the hammam still serves this purpose, and is elevated to a higher level for visitors. In the hammam, you’ll be submerged into complete relaxation amid authentic oriental décor in an atmosphere filled with oils, essences and perfumes. Enjoy a 30-minute scrub with black soap or soothing spices to eliminate toxins from your body. Then, experience a 30-minute traditional Moroccan massage to soothe tensions and gain energy and vitality. Tea is served in the relaxing room before you leave. An optional cooking class is available this afternoon (own expense). Toast your journey at a Farewell dinner
