LOCAL LIVING ITALY: AMALFI COAST WALKS & AGRITURISMO STAY
Naples. Pompeii . Amalfi . Ravello . Positano
Charming hilltop towns, acres of lemon groves and vineyards, mile after mile of stunning cliffs kissed by cobalt-blue waters… its official name is the Amalfi Coast, but this magical land answers to "heaven."

On this trip, you’ll live like one of the region’s (incredibly lucky) locals, discovering the small towns, hiking mountain trails and learning the local customs of this uniquely beautiful place.
Explore the ruins of Pompeii in the morning, hike the coastline of the Med by afternoon, and tuck into bed at your converted 17th-century monastery home base at sundown. Paradise incarnate.
NB: This trip includes four optional mountain hikes of moderate difficulty. If hiking is not of interest, we recommend Local Living Amalfi Sorrento.

Day 3 Valle delle Ferriere NP
Hike to the Valle delle Ferriere, the first of several hikes in this beautiful part of Italy.
The bustle of the Amalfi Coast is only a few miles away, but we have the chance to savor the more peaceful surroundings. Take the "Valle dei Mulini" route for approximately 1.5 hrs up and along a path and some stairs towards the beautiful Valle delle Ferriere National Park. The route goes up alongside the Rio Canneto and ends at a spot to rest for a picnic by the river. After a picnic lunch, we will turn around and retrace our steps downhill to Amalfi.
Stay: Agriturismo Sant Alfonso (or similar) (B,D)
Day 4 Ravello
Set off to the lovely hilltop town of Ravello. Transfer to Amalfi where the walk begins, then reach the narrow streets of the tiny coastal village of Atrani. Continue along a paved road with traffic and partially up stone steps. The walk is uphill and steep but delightful. After the walk and some free time in ravello, return to the agriturismo home via private transfer.
Stay: Agriturismo Sant Alfonso (or similar) (B,D)
Day 5 Mount Tre Calli
Set off from Bomerano, up the road from the agriturismo, and hike uphill through woodland and then open slopes with magnificent views down to the sparkling Mediterranean sea. The first half of the hike varies between walking along a paved road, a dirt road, and going up and down steps. The second half is up on the side of the mountain, with steep uphills, big steps, and is mostly on rocks.
Stay: Agriturismo Sant Alfonso (or similar) (B,D)
Day 6 At leisure
Today is a free day for you to enjoy more sites of your choice along the Amalfi Coast, including, if you choose, a day trip to Capri. Take a catamaran or hydrofoil to see the jewel of the Amalfi islands. Visit the stunning Blue Grotto, stroll through the town, or simply relax and take in views of the blue water and striking limestone sea stacks. (own expense).
Alternatively, visit Positano or Amalfi's famous historic cathedral, or relax at the beach.
Stay: Agriturismo Sant Alfonso (or similar) (B,D)
Day 7 Path of the Gods to Positano
Set off on the famous "Path of the Gods" hike along the Amalfi Coast, finishing up in picturesque Positano. After exploring the hillside town, take a scenic ferry ride along the coast to Amalfi, then return to the agriturismo in time for a final dinner feast.
